11" x 5 1/2" x 2"; koa, rosewood, willow; 11/95

This is the second Timonthy Lydgate box we bought, from Fine Woods of Carmel in Monterey, California in September 1997. The box was quickly recognzable as one of Timothy's to us. The top features a pair of book-matched willow panels, separated by a thin strip of light (sapwood?) koa, framed in a darker heartwood koa, all articulated by thin strips of very black rosewood. The body is the made of the same darker koa, with a thin rosewood strip atop the sides. Rosewood slipfeathers in the corners.
